Ubiquinol contains a reduced form of CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10), which according to a number of scientific studies has a higher biological value and antioxidant activity compared to regular CoQ10. The reason for this, in addition to the higher digestibility of Ubiquinol in the body, is the fact that 90% of CoQ10 in plasma is from the reduced form Ubiquinol. The greatest need for Ubiquinol is in individuals over 25 years of age, because younger organisms do not encounter difficulty in digesting the regular form of CoQ10.

Ubiquinol is found in almost every cell, where it is needed for energy production in the mitochondria. The highest concentrations of Ubiquinol in the body are found in the heart, where a constant supply of energy is vital. In addition to its unique function in maintaining a healthy cardiovascular system through energy production, Ubiquinol also acts as a powerful fat-soluble antioxidant that provides protection against free radicals that attack blood vessels, as well as other tissues such as the brain and neurons.

In 2010, NOW Foods received the Best of Supplements Award, with Better Nutrition certifying NOW Ubiquinol as the "Best Heart Health Product." The award is presented after a survey of store owners and distributors, with doctors and healthcare professionals also participating in determining the winners.

Δεν μπορώ να πω πολλά με σιγουριά και βεβαιότητα, το παίρνω μόνο ένα μηνα, χρειάζεται τουλάχιστον τρεις, βελτίωση αισθάνομαι στους τένοντες,και στις αρθρώσεις,μεγάλη δυσκαμψία έχω στα χέρια, συνεχίζω την προσπάθεια μου με υπομονή.
