Vitabay ® contains 14 bifido and lacto biotic strains, providing 70 billion beneficial microorganisms, promoting the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal microflora, the immune system and metabolism. The product is enriched with zinc, providing additional bioavailability.

Vitabay ® Bifidyn contains 70 billion active bacterial cultures from strains of the probiotic genera Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus .

Various biotic strains from the genera Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus possess significant and widely recognized health-promoting and immunomodulatory properties.

The common name for the beneficial bacteria that make up the human microbiome is probiotics.

Differences between bifidobacteria and lactobacilli:

Bifidobacteria and lactobacilli are representatives of the normal human microflora, which have certain differences between themselves.

Bifidobacteria are gram-positive, anaerobic bacteria that naturally inhabit both the large and small intestines and support intestinal function. They form a natural biological barrier against the penetration of pathogenic microorganisms. They participate in the synthesis of vitamins B and K, and also participate in the absorption of iron and calcium.

Lactobacilli are also gram-positive, but are facultative anaerobic bacteria, i.e. they are able to live both in the presence and absence of oxygen. They produce lactase, which is necessary for the breakdown of milk sugar. Lactobacilli form lactic acid, which maintains normal pH in the places where the bacilli have colonized them. Like bifidobacteria, they stimulate the immune response upon contact with intestinal cells. Lactobacilli are actively involved in the capture of pathogenic microorganisms. They increase the enzyme lysozyme, which has high antibacterial activity.
