Vitabay ® use ferrous fumarate to produce their product - a divalent iron salt of fumaric acid with high bioavailability in combination with natural vitamin C, which promotes the absorption of iron in the body.

Iron is a mineral that the body needs for growth and development. The body uses iron to make hemoglobin, the main protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to all parts of the body. Our bodies also need the mineral iron to make certain hormones.

What is ferrous fumarate ?

Ferrous fumarate is a salt of fumaric acid and is characterized by high bioavailability, since divalent iron is easily absorbed, and fumaric acid improves its absorption.

Application of ferrous fumarate:

• in iron deficiency anemia;
• increased need for iron (pregnancy, breastfeeding, period of intensive growth);
• Insufficient dietary iron intake or impaired absorption.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and why do we need it?

Vitamin C is another essential micronutrient that our body needs daily because it helps maintain healthy bones, skin, and blood vessels. It protects cells from the damaging effects of free radicals and more:
