Lion's Mane is particularly popular for its ability to support levels of nerve growth factor (NGF), a neurotrophic factor that is involved in regulating the proliferation and survival of new neurons.

Recommended dosage
The generally recommended dosage of Lion's Mane is 1000 mg per day, taken with food. This dose can be repeated with each meal if desired, for a total daily dose of 3000 mg. It is not recommended to exceed 3000 mg per day due to a lack of research at higher doses, although no specific safety concerns have been raised with higher doses.

Side effects
