Mattisson's Organic Pine Needle Tincture is an effective formula for strengthening the immune system and improving the functioning of the respiratory tract. Pine tips (buds) of mountain pine (Pinus montana), thyme (Thymus vulgaris) and narrow-leaved plantain (Plantago lanceolate) are added to the needles of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris). As a product with healing properties, the tincture is absorbed by the body most quickly, not passing through the digestive tract, but entering the blood directly through the oral mucosa. Herbal extracts dissolved in pure alcohol fully retain their properties.
Thyme (Thymus vulgaris)
Common thyme contains 0.8-1.2% essential oil, the main part of which is thymol. The chemical composition of thyme is also very rich in carvacrol. It also contains tannins, oleanolic acid, organic pigments, resins and terpenes.
It contains all B vitamins, vitamin C, beta-carotene, vitamin A, and minerals such as zinc, copper, manganese, calcium, iron, sodium, magnesium, and phosphorus.
The active ester compound carvacrol is an excellent antiseptic and disinfectant that can protect the human body from bacteria and viruses.
