Jarrow Formulas® Alpha Lipoic Acid is a unique lipid- and water-soluble antioxidant that is a cofactor in the body's energy production and plays an essential role in the regulation of glucose metabolism. ALA also aids in the synthesis of glutathione, another powerful antioxidant and a critical component of the endogenous antioxidant system.

Alpha lipoic acid plays an important role in the production of energy from carbohydrates, participating in a multi-enzyme process at many levels. ALA stimulates insulin activity and improves glucose burning. This is important for athletes and overweight people, since muscle activity requires efficient sugar metabolism.

Biotin is an essential cofactor that is important for energy production and lipid metabolism. Biotin is added for optimal ALA activity. Since Biotin and ALA are transported by the same mechanism, increased ALA intake may interfere with Biotin absorption and Coenzyme functions.

Like Alpha Lipoic Acid and Acetyl L-Carnitine, Biotin supports mitochondrial efficiency and even mitochondrial biogenesis.

To protect against biotin deficiency, Jarrow Formulas Alpha Lipoic Acid contains over 100% of the recommended daily allowance for Biotin.

Recommendations for use: Keep out of the reach of children.

Recommended intake: 1-6 tablets per day, preferably with meals or as directed by your qualified healthcare professional.

Note: If you suffer from a medical condition (especially diabetes) or are taking medication (especially for glucose control), consult your doctor before using this product.

Other ingredients: Calcium phosphate, cellulose, stearic acid (vegetable source), natural vanilla flavor, magnesium stearate (vegetable source), silicon dioxide and coating (food grade).

Does not contain: Wheat, soy, gluten, dairy, eggs, fish/shellfish, peanuts or tree nuts.

Μόλις έλαβα το προϊόν. Γράφει: να μην ξεπερνας την ημερήσια δόση (!!!)
Έψαξα παντού τη δόση, ακομη και στο σαιτ σας. Αλλά ΔΕΝ γράφει πουθενά !!
