It is also widespread in Bulgaria, where it became a fruit crop after the Liberation.

Composition and properties of Efime B17

Efime B17 contains apricot juice powder and apricot kernel extract, standardized to 1% amygdalin content, in a shell of HPMC (organic cellulose). Amygdalin, known as “vitamin B17”, is not actually a vitamin. It is a cyanogenic glycoside and a natural compound that is not produced independently in the body, but is obtained from some foods. From the 1920s to the present, amygdalin has been the subject of numerous scientific studies and is gaining popularity as a natural remedy for fighting cancer. The B17 molecule contains: cyanide, benzaldehyde and glucose. It is cyanide that is considered to be a destroyer of cancer cells.
