The chaga mushroom has a wide range of beneficial effects on the human body. It is known to be a powerful adaptogen, immunomodulator, has a tonic effect on the gastrointestinal tract, has antitumor effects, and is also considered a longevity tonic.
Chaga mushroom contains polysaccharides, alkaline substances, phytonutrients, organic acids and important minerals and trace elements such as: calcium, zinc, magnesium, chromium, etc.
Chaga mushroom is native to Eastern Europe, not Asia like most medicinal mushrooms. It has been found to grow, like a parasite, on birch bark. Chaga is high in both beta-glucans and betulinic acid. It has an extremely high antioxidant activity, thanks to its high content of superoxide dismutase (SOD). It has powerful anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects. It has been studied for its effectiveness in combating a number of autoimmune conditions, including psoriasis.
