The extract from the leaves of the cat's whiskers plant prevents high blood pressure. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce the risk of hypertension. This herb attacks angiotensin converting enzymes with the help of rosmarinic acid, which dilates blood vessels, thus preventing high blood pressure. Extracts from the leaves and stems of the plant can treat kidney stones.

It has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that prevent kidney and urinary tract infections. It contains bioactive compounds that are beneficial in kidney-related diseases.
