The Vitabay® Vitamin E 600 Depot nutritional supplement is extracted from high-quality natural soybean oil and will provide the necessary amount of vitamin E. Depot product: each capsule contains 600 IU of the vitamin, equivalent to 300 IU daily.

Vitamin E (tocopherol) is a fat-soluble vitamin. It is a group of eight fat-soluble compounds – four tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta) and four tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta). The most well-known form is alpha-tocopherol. Vitamin E is directly related to the intake of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are involved in the formation of cell membranes, as well as proteins that transport lipids in the blood. Vitamin E deficiency is rare and is usually due to problems with the absorption of dietary fats, rather than the consumption of foods low in the vitamin.

Function of Vitamin E:

Its main function is related to its antioxidant properties: it protects cell membranes, proteins, lipids and DNA from oxidative processes of free radicals and slows down the aging process of cells.

Main sources of vitamin E:

Because it is fat-soluble, vitamin E is found mainly in fats, and the richest sources are plant products: vegetable oils (soybean, corn, sunflower oil), sprouts, oilseeds. The second richest source of vitamin E is fruits and vegetables.
