Quercetin is a bioflavonoid that has attracted intense scientific interest for its unique anti-aging and immune-stimulating effects. Several recent studies have shown that organisms exposed to high levels of quercetin live longer and in better health. Bioavailability: The benefits of quercetin in humans may depend on its bioavailability. Scientific evidence suggests that the aglycone may be more bioavailable than the sugar-conjugates, as the aglycone is more lipophilic and should more readily pass into the intestinal enterocytes.
