L-lysine is one of the eight essential amino acids that cannot be synthesized by the body and must be obtained from food or specially manufactured products. This amino acid plays an important role in maintaining health and in many physiological processes. Vitamin C added to the formula enhances the action of the amino acid to improve immune defense and calcium absorption.
