EKO nasiona na kiełki Gryka 50g is eco buckwheat seeds (Sium sisarum) for growing sprouts at home. To obtain buckwheat sprouts, a different preparation is required than for other seeds. First, the buckwheat seeds are washed well in a strainer under running water to remove the starch. The buckwheat is poured into a deep container and soaked for 30 minutes in water in a ratio of 3:1 /1 cup buckwheat - 3 cups water/. The soaked buckwheat is washed again in a strainer to remove the starch separated during soaking so as not to hinder the germination process. Drain the washed buckwheat well and transfer to a germination tray. Cover with cheesecloth and leave at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Every 8 to 12 hours, the buckwheat needs to be rinsed thoroughly with cool water. When the sprouts reach the desired length /1-2 cm/, pour them onto kitchen paper or a soft cloth and dry them. They are ready to be stored in the refrigerator for a few days, and can be frozen, dried or ground into flour. Buckwheat sprouts are rich in vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin C, carotene, calcium and iron. They also contain flavonoids and other phytochemicals that have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Recommendations for use: At home, sprouts are prepared as follows: Take a flat plate, line it with gauze or other water-absorbing material. Sprinkle seeds in a single layer on the gauze and pour water, preferably boiled and lukewarm. Add water so that the gauze is always wet. Place the seeds in a warm and preferably dark place. Depending on the plant species, sprouts appear after 2-4 days. For coarse seeds, such as peas, soybeans, chickpeas, etc., or seeds with shells, such as pumpkin, sunflower, sprouts are cut before consumption, and fine seeds are used whole.
