Borage is an annual plant, considered an herb, that grows in North America and Europe. Borage seeds are an exceptionally rich source of gamma-linolenic acid, which has a number of health benefits for the human body.
Oil from Borage Oil contains polyunsaturated fatty acids and is an omega-6 fatty acid, also found in evening primrose oil and black currant oil. Gamma-linolenic acid prevents the formation of plaque in blood vessels, which leads to atherosclerosis.
Borage Oil also helps with skin problems such as acne and eczema. Borage Oil is used to relieve colds, bronchitis, and lung infections.
