Jarrow's Curcumin 95 is a concentrate containing no less than 95% curcuminoids , which are powerful antioxidants found in the roots of the spice turmeric. Curcumin and its derivatives help maintain antioxidant status and help reduce oxidative stress.

Antioxidant and Detoxification: Curcuminoids (such as curcumin) exhibit potent antioxidant activity and increase cellular resistance to oxidative damage (protection against DNA damage). Curcumin also enhances the body’s natural antioxidant levels of glutathione; which in turn aids the liver in detoxification. Curcuminoids also have hepatoprotective properties (i.e., protect the liver) against a wide range of toxic chemicals.

For joint health: In studies of people with suboptimal joint function, curcumin has been shown to promote a healthy inflammatory response while contributing to comfort and flexibility. In a double-blind study, curcumin was shown to be statistically significantly superior to placebo or other compounds used to support a healthy post-operative inflammatory response.
