SAM-e 200 mg - 20 Tablets

Jarrow Formulas® SAM-e 200 – provides a full net amount of 200 mg of SAM-E , derived from 400 mg of SAM-E tosylate disulfate. This product is manufactured according to best manufacturing practices for SAM-E , at low temperature and low humidity, and is enteric coated to ensure a biologically active product. SAM-e has undergone many clinical studies involving thousands of patients. Researchers have identified many structural and functional benefits of SAM-e , involving over 40 biochemical processes with a variety of effects on the body, including improved liver function, increased cartilage formation, and improved mood.

Joint Health: SAM-E supports the production of healthy connective tissue through transsulfuration. In this process, critical components of connective tissue known as glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) , including glucosamine and chondroitin, are sulfated by SAM-E metabolites to produce sulfated GAGs , such as glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate.

Brain metabolism: The methylation effects of SAM-E are involved in the synthesis of neurotransmitters such as L-DOPA , dopamine and related hormones, serotonin, adrenaline, and phosphatidylcholine (a component of lecithin).

Liver: SAM-E metabolism supports the synthesis of glutathione (GSH) and glutathione-dependent enzymes (glutathione peroxidase and glutathione-S-transferase) , which are substances critically important for liver function, including phase II detoxification.

Recommended dosage: 1 tablet, 1-2 times daily on an empty stomach or as directed by your qualified healthcare professional.

Note: People using prescription medications such as antidepressants, including Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) and MAOIs should consult a doctor before using SAM-e. Patients with Parkinson's disease, bipolar disorder, or manic depression should not use SAM-e . Do not use if pregnant or nursing. Do not exceed the recommended dose. In rare cases, it may cause gastrointestinal upset in some individuals. If you experience discomfort, discontinue use.

Other ingredients: Cellulose, glyceryl behenate, magnesium stearate (vegetable source), silicon dioxide, mannitol, sodium starch glycolate, and enteric coating (methacrylate copolymers, magnesium silicate, titanium dioxide, triethyl citrate, silicon dioxide, and riboflavin).

Jarrow Formulas ® SAM-E 200 is packaged in a foil blister pack to maximize stability and safety. Do not use if the outer blister pack is damaged.
