Mattisson Organic Guar Bean Fibers Sunfiber® is made from the pods of the guar plant, also known as Indian acacia (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba). Guar beans are a rich source of soluble fiber, also called prebiotics.

What are prebiotics?

Prebiotic fibers reach the large intestine undigested, where they are broken down by bacteria through fermentation to short-chain fatty acids (acetate, butyrate, and propionate). These fatty acids serve as a source of energy for the intestinal epithelium. Fermentable fibers include fibers from vegetables, fruits, potatoes, and legumes. There is no physiological process in which the intestinal microflora does not participate, including the synthesis of vitamins, hormones, and biologically active substances, parietal digestion, regular bowel function, and the development of immunity. The relationship between the composition of the intestinal microflora and the severity of diabetes, obesity, allergies, and even cardiovascular disease has been proven.

What are the consequences of fiber deficiency?

The modern way of eating is far from healthy standards. Fast food is widely used, and the main products in the kitchen are flour, white rice, sugar, which practically do not contain dietary fiber. Their frequent consumption can lead to an imbalance in the intestinal microflora. Note: Do not use as a substitute for a varied and nutritious diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Recommended daily dose of the product: Take 1 tablespoon (5 g) once daily dissolved in 200 ml of water or other liquid (you can also dissolve in yogurt, smoothies), preferably during a meal or as directed by your doctor. Leave the fiber in the liquid until completely dissolved.
