Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that consists of eight compounds: four tocopherols and four tocotrienols. The biologically active action of vitamin E is mainly due to the form of γ-alpha tocopherols. However, studies have shown that beta-, gamma- and delta-tocopherols also have high biological activity in the body. Especially gamma-tocopherol exhibits very strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Vitamin E (natural) contains a natural form of vitamin E that is of natural origin (D-alpha-tocopherol) plus beta-, delta- and gamma-tocopherols for even stronger and more effective action. D-alpha tocopherol is the most potent tocopherol and much easier for the body to absorb and use, unlike its synthetic “counterpart” DL-alpha tocopherol.
