Glucosamine + Chondroitin + MSM This Jarrow combination provides effective amounts of Glucosamine Sulfate, Chondroitin Sulfate, and Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), with added Vitamin C and Manganese to optimize joint health.

Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are major components of joint tissue, involved in the production of hyaluronic acid, which is an important component of synovial fluid, which in turn is responsible for lubricating joints and is a major component of the connective tissue of the skin.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is an organic source of sulfur, an antioxidant, and a critical component of the body's structural tissues, such as cartilage. The sulfur from MSM is present in joint tissues as glycosaminoglycans (or mucopolysaccharides), chondroitin sulfate, and hyaluronic acid.

Vitamin C and Manganese – The role of Vitamin C in collagen formation and connective tissue health is well known. In addition, consumption of Vitamin C contributes to reducing the risk of cartilage loss in people with suboptimal joint function. Manganese is the preferred cofactor of enzymes called Glycosyltransferases; these enzymes are necessary for the synthesis of proteoglycans, which in turn are necessary for the formation of healthy cartilage and bone.

Recommended intake: 4 capsules daily or as directed by your qualified healthcare professional.

Other ingredients: Magnesium stearate (vegetable source), silicon dioxide and cellulose. The capsule consists of gelatin.
