Keratins are a group of tough, fibrous proteins that help maintain the health of joints, hair, nails and skin. Keratins provide exceptionally high levels of the amino acid cysteine, which is a rich source of sulfur molecules that nourish and strengthen cartilage. When the sulfur molecules in cysteine ​​bond together, they form very strong bonds called “cysteine ​​bridges.” These “bridges” provide important support for weight-bearing joints. Swanson’s new Premium Brand Keratin, derived from Tibetan wool, provides pure, nutritious hydrolyzed keratin to nourish the body’s connective tissue and maintain healthy skin, hair and nails.
