Bio Te Hojicha is an organically roasted Japanese green tea (Thea sinensis), a variety of the Bancha variety, which is produced by the Spanish company Herbes del Moli.

Unlike traditional Japanese green tea, Bio Te Hojicha Hojicha is roasted after the leaves are steamed. This removes the typical bitter taste of green tea and gives Hojicha its characteristic earthy flavor.

Due to their heat treatment, the leaves of Hodžić are brown with reddish hues.

The color of the finished Japanese Hojicha green tea beverage resembles coffee, but has a more reddish hue and a smoky aroma.

It has a hint of toasted caramel that dulls the classic taste of green tea.
