HCA (Hydroxy-Citric-Acide) is actually an extract from the Garcinia Gambogia plant and, together with D-pinitol and beta ecdysterone, is one of the most preferred substances for athletes in general. HCA inhibits the ATP-citrate-lyase enzyme of the Krebs cycle and thus reduces the conversion of carbohydrates into fatty acids. In this way, the energy from the carbohydrates in question is not stored as body fat, but is redirected to the general energy flow. HCA enhances glycogen synthesis and thus helps to increase motor, training and cell-building energy. At the same time, it reduces signs of fatigue, optimizes triglyceride and cholesterol levels in the blood and reduces the appetite for sweets (blood sugar levels remain stable for a longer time).
