Ecological Formulas® Refluxin™ / Ecological Formulas® Refluxin is a nutritional supplement that contributes to normal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. Refluxin has mild antacid properties. Owns pleasant taste and slightly effervescent fructose-glucose-citric acid base.

The combination of highly effective ingredients contributes to timelyit and effective relief of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux. The product combines within oneself mucoprotective agents (pectin, lecithin, and mucin) that form a viscous floating “raft” upon contact with liquid. When reflux occurs, nutrients coat the the inside of the esophagus with an additional protective barrier.

Action of the main ingredients:

• Magnesium

Magnesium is an ingredient often found in supplements for gastroesophageal reflux. Antacids often combine magnesium hydroxide or magnesium carbonate with aluminum hydroxide or calcium carbonate. The combination of these substances neutralizes hydrochloric acid and relieves reflux symptoms.

• Potassium

The mineral potassium reduces the production of hydrochloric acid and prevents its harmful effects on the esophagus and the entire body. It has a beneficial effect on the overall functioning of the digestive system.

• Calcium

Calcium is needed by the body for healthy bones, muscles, nervous system and heart. Calcium carbonate is also used as an antacid to relieve the harmful effects of hydrochloric acid, indigestion and stomach complaints.

• Pectin

Pectin may improve symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux. Apple pectin is a prebiotic that supports gastrointestinal health by stimulating the beneficial bacteria living in the colon.

• Lecithin

The emulsifying properties of lecithin improve the characteristics of mucus in the lower gastrointestinal tract, facilitating the digestive process and protecting the delicate mucosa from damage.

• Mucin

Mucin is a gel-like substance that is synthesized in stomach cells. It protects the stomach lining and the entire gastrointestinal tract from the harmful effects of hydrochloric acid and bacterial pathogens.
