Chinese schisandra (Schisandra chinensis), also called Chinese lemongrass, is a vine with red fruits arranged in clusters. A total of 4080 mg of fruit was used to produce 408 mg of Chinese schisandra fruit extract. The fruit contains schisandrin, fiber, sugar, organic acids - mainly citric, malic, tartaric, vitamins - ascorbic acid, thiamine, riboflavin. Chinese schisandra has adaptogenic properties and strengthens the body, helps its resistance to stress factors, affects the proper functioning of the respiratory tract and protects the liver. The product should be stored in a tightly closed container at room temperature, out of the reach of small children. Do not use by pregnant and nursing women.

Chinese schisandra (Schisandra chinensis), also called Chinese magnolia, is a vine, a deciduous liana, originating from the forests of Northern China, the Russian Far East and Korea. Wild varieties are also found in Japan. Its height reaches 10-15 meters, and in the north - up to 4 meters. The fruits are red, arranged in dense clusters about 10 centimeters long, slightly sour in taste.

Ripe fruits contain water, fiber, pentose, starch, pectin, protein, volatile acids, tannins and dyes. Fruit juice contains sugars, organic acids - citric, malic, tartaric, vitamins - ascorbic acid, thiamine, riboflavin. Tonic substances (schizandrin and schizandrol), tocopherol and fatty oil have been found in the seeds. All parts of the plant, but especially the bark, contain essential oil, which is highly valued in perfumery for its delicate spicy-lemon aroma.

The fruits of the schisandra are used to make jams, marmalades and soft drinks. The fruits and seeds are used as therapy with adaptogenic, general strengthening and psychostimulating effects. The tonic effect of the fruit is determined by schisandrin, which increases the excitability of the central nervous system and stimulates the work of the heart and respiratory system.
