The VemoHerb® Ginkgo Hypericum dietary supplement includes standardized dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves and Hypericum perforatum aerial mass with a high content of active components. The selected ratio of 3:2 is consistent with the amount of hypericin – 0.5% in the extract and the amount of ginkgoflavone glycosides – 24%, calculated as the sum of quercetin, kaempferol and isorhamnetin.

Hypericin is an anthraquinone derivative that blocks the action of monoamine oxidase, participates in brain metabolism and affects the transmission of nerve impulses. This helps maintain serotonin levels in the central nervous system and improves long-term mood. Pure hypericin isolated alone has less pronounced antidepressant properties than when combined with other plant components - flavonoids, xanthogenates and tannins.
