Mattisson's Vegan Humic Acid contains not less than 260 mg of humic acid and 60 mg of bound fulvic acid per 10 ml. Humic acids (humates) are biological compounds of natural origin. They are found everywhere in nature as a product of the decomposition of organic matter. Every person obtains humic acid through foods, such as meat from herbivorous animals, coffee, tea, certain types of beer and bread crusts. Humic acid salts are difficult to break down in an aqueous environment and retain their original structure.

It is these acids that are present in the humus layer of the earth. Due to the use of fertilizers, pesticides, and the depletion of agricultural land, the humus layer is gradually being extracted from the soil and we absorb less and less humic acid naturally.

Characteristics of humic acid

Humic acid is bound to minerals and metals, which is what sets it apart from fulvic acid. The darker the color of humic acid, the more minerals are bound to it. Therefore, the color indicates the richness of humic acid. Minerals are essential for almost every aspect of human health. The body needs minerals for processes such as bone development, heart health, eye health, digestion, and even mental health. Most plants cannot grow without humic acid, and in humans and animals, humic substances support the actions of vitamins and minerals to carry out important chemical reactions in the body.

Using humic acid for health problems
