Jarrow Formulas ® MCT Oil is a natural source of Caprylic (C8) and Capric (C10) fatty acids with minimal amounts of Lauric acid (C12) compared to other products, such as conventional MCT and standard coconut oil.

Coconut oil, naturally contains multiple types of fatty acids, but not all of them function the same way in the body. Caprylic acid (C8) and capric acid (C10) make up 7% and 8%, respectively, of the fatty acid content of coconut oil. C8 and C10 adequately compensate for the lower quantity with quality when MCTs are used for fuel. Both are used immediately by the body without the need for conversion, making them a wonderful source of fuel for ATP production.
