Jarrow Formulas® SAM-e 200 – provides a full net amount of 200 mg SAM-E, obtained from 400 mg of SAM-E tosylate disulfate. This product is manufactured according to best manufacturing practices for SAM-E, at low temperature and low humidity, and is enteric coated to guarantee a biologically active product. SAM-e has undergone many clinical studies involving thousands of patients. Joint health: SAM-E supports the production of healthy connective tissue through transsulfuration. In this process, critical components of connective tissue known as glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), including glucosamine and chondroitin, are sulfated by SAM-E metabolites to obtain sulfated GAGs, such as glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate.

Brain metabolism: The effects of methylation on SAM-E are involved in the synthesis of neurotransmitters, such as L-DOPA, dopamine and related hormones, serotonin, adrenaline and phosphatidylcholine (a component of lecithin).

Liver: The metabolism of SAM-E supports the synthesis of glutathione (GSH) and glutathione-dependent enzymes (glutathione peroxidase and glutathione-S-transferase), which are substances critically important for liver function, including phase II detoxification.

Recommended intake: 1 tablet, 1-2 times daily on an empty stomach or as directed by your qualified healthcare professional.

Note: People using prescribed medications such as antidepressants, including Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) and MAO inhibitors . should consult a doctor before using SAM-e.
