Vitamin K refers to structurally similar fat-soluble vitamins. The human body needs vitamin K for the synthesis of certain proteins necessary for blood clotting and for the binding of calcium in bones and other tissues. Vitamin K includes two natural forms:

• Vitamin K1 (phylloquinone) - is produced by plants and is found in the largest quantities in green leafy vegetables, as it is directly involved in the process of photosynthesis.

• Vitamin K2 (menaquinone) - mainly from foods of animal origin such as meat, eggs and fish, but also from bacteria through the fermentation process.

A particularly rich source with high bioavailability of vitamin K2 is the traditional Japanese dish natto.It is prepared from boiled soybean sprouts, which have undergone a natural fermentation process before heat treatment. The production process, patented in the USA, Europe and Japan, is free of genetic engineering and completely eliminates the presence of chemicals in the raw materials. The extraction process is extremely gentle and biologically pure. A process in which carbon dioxide is placed under high pressure and passes into a state that is neither liquid nor gaseous - this allows it to penetrate completely into the structure of natto and dissolve vitamin K2.

As a result, Vitabay Organic extracts a completely natural form of vitamin K2 with maximum transbioavailability, without preservatives or other additives. After the production process, there is no soy, which is not a prerequisite for allergic reactions.
