Ecological Formulas® Psorex / Ecological Formulas® Psorex is a nutritional supplement that supports the maintenance of the normal condition of the skin and connective tissue. The product contains reagent grade fumaric acid. Fumaric acid is the trans isomer of malic acid and an intermediate in the citric acid cycle, also popular as cycle of Krebs. Psorex / Psorex works favorable on dermatological conditions such as psoriasis, granulomatous skin diseases, lupus erythematosus, malignant melanoma, pityriasis rubra pilaris, alopecia areata and others.

Fumaric acid or transbutenedioic acid is a white crystalline chemical compound widely distributed in nature. It is a key intermediate in the tricarboxylic acid cycle for the biosynthesis of organic acids in humans and other mammals. This acid is also an essential component in supporting normal plant development.

Like vitamin D, it is synthesized by the body, in the skin, during exposure to sunlight. It is associated with the normal functioning of malic acid and is involved in the production of energy obtained from food.
