Description

Amino acids are commonly thought of as the basic building blocks of all proteins in the human body, but their role encompasses a much broader range of biological functions and processes. Nine of them, called essential or irreplaceable, cannot be produced by the body on its own and must be obtained through food. Each of these amino acids – leucine, lysine, threonine, valine, isoleucine, phenylalanine, histidine, tryptophan and methionine – is extremely important for the proper functioning of the body.

Most amino acids exist in two forms – L (left-handed) and D (right-handed), depending on the orientation of the molecule. Of these, only the L forms are biologically active, as used to create this combined nutritional supplement designed to maintain and improve overall health.

L-leucine
This aliphatic amino acid is present in the composition of all proteins. It is one of the three branched-chain essential amino acids, which are characterized by the fact that they are not broken down in the liver, like the others, but in the muscles. This also determines their active contribution to energy production and the construction of muscle tissue. Taking L-leucine has a number of beneficial effects for the body, including:

Helps build skeletal muscle
Increases performance in sports activities
Improves blood sugar control
Helps to get rid of excess weight

L-lysine
Lysine is also a proteinogenic amino acid, meaning it is involved in the building of proteins, but it also performs a number of other important functions in the body. It is involved in the synthesis of antibodies, enzymes and hormones, in calcium homeostasis, in fat metabolism and in many other important biochemical processes. As a dietary supplement, it:

Contributes to improving sports performance
Relieves symptoms of anxiety and depression
Supports the therapy of labial herpes
Accelerates wound healing

L-Threonine
It also participates in the biosynthesis of proteins in the body, but it is also a precursor to two other amino acids important for the normal functioning of the body, called serine and glycine. Thanks to this, the beneficial effects of its intake extend over a fairly wide range of functions and processes:

Helps improve immunity
Supports gastrointestinal health and aids digestion
Supports the production of collagen and elastin
Improves liver function

L-valine
Valine, like leucine, is a branched-chain essential amino acid, which makes it popular as a dietary supplement among athletes and bodybuilders. It also helps improve intercellular communication, which helps treat a number of conditions. Valine's beneficial effects include:

Supports muscle metabolism and muscle tissue recovery
Supports normal growth in children
Helps relieve stress
Participates in the regulation of the body's immune defenses

L-isoleucine
The last of the three branched-chain essential amino acids also plays an important role in muscle metabolism and is present primarily in muscle tissue.Isoleucine is a key player in the synthesis of hemoglobin, a chemical compound in red blood cells that carries oxygen to the various cells in the body. Its beneficial properties include:

Helps regulate blood sugar
Limits muscle damage and pain after exercise
Reduces fatigue and improves sports performance
Supports liver health

L-phenylalanine
The most important role of phenylalanine is that of a precursor to another proteinogenic amino acid – tyrosine, which is one of the twenty basic building blocks of all proteins. In addition to the structure of proteins in the body, tyrosine is involved in the synthesis of the neurotransmitters dopamine, norepinephrine (noradrenaline) and epinephrine (adrenaline), as well as the skin pigment melanin. All this causes the wide range of beneficial effects of phenylalanine, including:

Helps to improve mood and reduce depression
Contributes to the relief of chronic pain
Increases the effectiveness of the fight against excess weight
Helps treat some mental disorders and neurodegenerative conditions

L-histidine
In addition to protein synthesis, histidine is also involved in the production of several organic compounds that are essential for the body's normal functioning, such as histamine, ergothioneine, and carnosine. Although most often associated with allergies, histamine plays a major role in attention and brain function, and carnosine and ergothioneine are powerful antioxidants. Histidine has a number of beneficial effects:

Supports brain health
Supports the functioning of the nervous system
Helps detoxify the body from excess heavy metals
Stimulates the secretion of gastric juices and enzymes

L-Tryptophan
The main role of tryptophan in the body is as a precursor to a number of neurotransmitters, including the "happiness hormone" serotonin and melatonin, which is important for sleep quality. It is also involved in the synthesis of proteins and niacin (vitamin B3). Thanks to this, tryptophan contributes to the normal functioning of the body in a number of different ways:

Helps improve sleep quality
Boosts mood and reduces anxiety and depression
Helps treat addictions
Relieves headaches and migraines

L-methionine
Methionine is a precursor to other important amino acids such as cysteine and taurine, as well as to many other organic compounds important for the normal functioning of the body. It plays an important role in metabolism and detoxification, in the construction of blood vessels and in the absorption of trace elements such as zinc and selenium. The beneficial effects of methionine on health include:

Helps prevent and treat colon cancer
Contributes to increasing bone strength
Helps to get rid of excess weight
Supports liver health

All essential amino acids are present in various foods of plant and animal origin, but due to some peculiarities of modern methods of agriculture and animal husbandry, it is good to also take them as nutritional supplements.
